Anyone familiar with the Sisa Language institute in Changwon? May also be called E/F Foreign language institute. If so, can you give me the lowdown?
Thanks.

Let me ask around Mal! Changwon is a great city- I teach here!!! It has a very nice feel and seems like a small city even though there are about 500,000 residents. We have great shopping and movie theaters and it is a well-planned city with lots of parks. Also Busan is less than an hour by bus so if you need a big city no worries. I will call a couple friends and see if I can find info on Sisa.

OK I just got the scoop- HORRIBLE school according to at least two of my coworkers. Stay away at all costs. Absolutely the bottom of the barrel in language schools. How did you hear about them?

I did more research after I posted and you are telling me EXACTLY what I read. It seems pretty easy to find the worst of the worst, but when teachers find the really good ones, they seem to stay mum. Thanks Dave. I'll keep looking and try to find a good one!

yes - this school is bad, bad, BAD...and though this request is old, I just saw a new advertisement for a teacher under the name of Top - but it even still has the same reply email (sisinst@hotmail.com)! www.eslcafe.com/jobs/korea/index.cgi?read=21648The owner and his wife are very 'not nice'. Don't bother to even give the place a chance. It has had to change the name several times due to a bad reputation: Sisa / Like / English Friends / S2 / MyungMoon / Top Holy Moly!! Why would a school have to go under so many different names?

Welcome Shan and thanks for the post! Yeah, any name-change is a red flag. Now before anyone starts with "My institute changed names because of...." let me say that you don't build a solid business then throw out the reputation that you built. You throw it out if it's dragging you down because of your integrity problems. There may be a few exceptions when an owner buys a new franchise, but that presents other red flags. Good luck all!

I was looking at a job posting for Sisa in Changwon. Is this the same one as mentioned here? Or is there more than one "Sisa" in this city.
Does anybody know?
