Yes I know it seems like airfare is never cheap from Korea. But these two sites are regarded as a couple of the best. Find a Korean friend to help you if your Hangul is not up to par! toptravel.co.kr/www.whypaymore.co.kr/

Hmmm...can't read Korean. Are these sites cheaper than Orbitz and what have you?

Thanks for the question Mallory! In short, heck yes!! Most of the sites like Travelocity and Orbitz seem to be geared to people flying from the West to the East and are a lot more expensive than vice-versa. For example, I can buy a ticket from Seoul to Detroit to Seoul for about $700 U.S. Yes, round trip per-person! Korean is way easy to learn to read. Like, seriously. You can start today. Try this software: www.declan-software.com/korean.htmDon't be intimidated. It really is very easy to learn the alphabet and to be able to pronounce words. Once you can do that, using the websites that I provided is a snap because whether it is written in English or in Korean, the names of destination cities sound roughly the same. Cake with frosting!

This is probably the best English site out there for travel from South Korea. Opinions vary widely about Kangsan's service but probably they are as good as any English-speaking agency in Korea. kangsantravel.com/

I also use a guy here: kisestour@hanmail.net Mr Yoon He can handle english, and is located in Busan. I usually get quick replies to my requests, and he's in the same ball park as kangsan... plus he couriers me my tickets to the uni
